Jerry Kenter is a 1967 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he received his B.A. degree.  He also has done graduate work at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

He received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in December 1974.  He served over 3 1/2 years in the United States Air Force and one year in Southeast Asia.  He is a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Jerry is the author of the two-volume work, Missouri Workers' Compensation, and is the consulting editor and an author of about half of the Second Edition of this work, which is considered the authority for all attorneys who practice in the workers' compensation field in Missouri.

He has written several articles for the Journal of the Missouri Bar and is a member of SCRIBES, the American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects.

Jerry is a member of the , a past chairman of the Missouri Bar Workers' Compensation Committee, and the Workers' Compensation Committee of the .  He is a member of the Board of Kid's Chance of Missouri, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, which awards scholarships to children whose parents have been severely injured or killed while at work.  He is also a member of the and the .  Jerry also practices in the area of disability law and discrimination.
